Throughout the fall and into the New Year, we were able to coordinate with Riverside Design and Build to contribute to a new home project in New Canaan. The work included the kitchen, pantry, and bar cabinetry, as well as several bathroom vanities.
Keeping true to New Canaan values, the architect developed a design that was simple and elegant. While at the same time incorporating precisely planned details to make this home truly unique. Below is the door profiling throughout the home, incorporated into all cabinetry and even the vanities, creating a coherent theme throughout.

The 1/4" stepping in the profile is also carried out at multiple locations throughout the kitchen design. On the custom range hood, the 1/2" wide battens emulate that of the door profile. The floating and open shelving also contains 1/2" and 1/4" detailing, further cementing the design intent. The corner returns at all finished ends also play into the linear theme. Instead of having your typical square return, the architect created a chamfered detail with 1/8" steps that integrate into the adjacent door profiling.
Riverside Design and Build envisioned and built a beautiful home, it was an honor to be able to contribute to their project. Below are a few images from the project. All photos can be found in the Kitchens/Cabinetry section.
