In most projects, the cabinet door/drawer fronts are an integral part of the design. They are the face of the cabinet, becoming an integral part of the room. There are numerous profiles to choose from, each with their own distinct qualities. We have always fabricated all of our cabinet components. This allows us to keep full control over quality, design, and sizing.
Although doors may look simple, there is quite some forethought and work that goes into creating them. The first step it to set up your shapers to cut precise inverses of each other, ensuring a clean and tight joint where the stiles and rails meet. This is the most important aspect of door construction. By putting the extra time into this step; it allows for a more fluent glue up, an efficient sanding sequence, as well as a better finished surface. When it comes time to stain/paint/clear coat; the preparation put in beforehand provides an excellent finish, allowing the entire design to emanate.
Of course, the pictures above are merely a sliver of the design options which can be created. We have built classic doors as well as completely unique and one-off profiles.
